MEET LEVIT
MEET LEVIT
After starting school at Instituto la Esperanza, a Proyecto Alas school in the mountainous community of Panixtlahuaca, he showed a "radical" change during the school year. Not only did he catch up with his academic level, but learned to 'count to one hundred in English' (part of 'learning English as a second language').
"He is now so happy," said his teacher.
He enjoys playing with the other students, and dreams of travelling to other parts of the world.
He finished with one of the highest grades in his school.
Levit is of Chatino descent and living in conditions of deep poverty. He started K-5 sickly, shy, timid, and with serious relational problems and learning disabilities.
In the second school year (2023), the children’s parents are even more excited as they see their efforts pay off. Pastors, teachers, directors, and parents agree that “REVIVAL HAS COME” since the educational centers opened.
In short, we are helping churches who have a vision to educate their children start an EDUCATIONAL CENTER (school).
41 educational centers are now providing 2000 children K-12 with an accredited Christian Education.
This incredible growth is establishing Proyecto Alas as a strong network serving seven states of Mexico and Guatemala.
16 new Educational Centers launched in 2024
25 already established and thriving, many of them doubling or even tripling year after year.
